RULES & REGULATION


ATTENDANCE:

GENERAL RULES TO BE FOLLOWED BY THE STUDENTS.

UNIFORM

Prescribed uniform will be provided by the college to be worn for the clinical experience in the Hospital/Community and during the educational visits. The students will be charged for the same.


EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Student council and Student Nurses Association: The student council will be formed through democratic system election. The students will be given opportunities to develop their leadership qualities, and their unique talent through various cultural activities such as Aarambh, Tekzone,Spandan,Avishkar,Anveshan,Aakanksha and Indradhanushya festival.


RESEARCH

The students thirst for curiosity will be quenched by encouraging students to conduct the research projects and forming a journal club. The students will be encouraged to conduct and present their researches at collegiate, university and interuniversity level. The students will be availed maximum opportunities to express their talents and virtues, and will be appreciated and rewarded.

HOSTEL

BOOKS

Books will be provided by the college against required payment. Students need to buy set of text book of the concerned subjects per year. Reference books, Journals and newspapers can be referred through the college library. Internet facility is available in the library.


TEACHING LEARNING ACTIVITIES

The teachers will use the innovative and varied teaching -learning activities suitable for group as a whole as well as an individual student. The students need to take interest and initiative in learning as it is joint venture of student and teacher toward quest for the TRUTH.

The enlightening process of teaching and learning will help students imbibe great people’s precious wisdom. Ultimately all knowledge aspired has to culminate into scientific, artistic and timely nursing action.


FEE

Fees are subject to change. On being admitted to the course the students shall be required to pay full tuition fees as per the rules/norms prescribed by the Pravesh Niyantran and Shikshan Shulk Samiti of the State Government.

All the fees are to be paid by digital mode or Demand Draft or online pay mode (RTGS/NEFT) to be drawn in favor of “Seva Mandal Education Society’s College of Nursing” between 10.00 am to 2.00 pm on week days. In case the student is paying the fees late she shall be entitled for a penalty. In case due to any reason the student has cancelled the admission, it is mandatory to them to pay a full fee for that academic year. In case the student paying the fees later than stipulate date then shall pay a penalty as per the institution’s rule.


REFUND OF FEES

The Ministry of Human Resource Development and University Grants Commission have considered the issue and decided that the institutions and universities, in the Public Interest, shall maintain a waiting list of students/candidates. In the event of a student/candidate withdrawing before the starting of the course, the waitlisted candidates should be given admission against the vacant seat. The entire fee collected from the student, after a deduction of the processing fee of not more than Rs.1000/-(One thousand rupees) shall be refunded and returned by the Institution/University to the Students/Candidates withdrawing from the programme.If a student leave after joining the course and if the seat consequently faklling vacant has been filled by another candidate by the last date of admission.

The institution must return the fee collected with proportionate deductions of monthly fee ad proportionate hostel rent, where applicable. The candidate, who applies for cancellation of admission, shall be entitled for refund of fees as per Seva Mandal Education Society’s management rules as stated by The Ministry of Human Resource Development, which has been stated above.

LOAN AND SCHOLARSHIP

ANTI-RAGGING CELL

The college abides by the MUHS University regulations and implements. It’s anti ragging resolution under Maharashtra Prohibition if Ragging act (1999) sections-I of section 1. Ragging of any students is strictly prohibited and strict disciplinary action to the extent of dismissal from the college will be taken if any student is found to be indulging in any of the ragging action(directly or indirectly).We have special cell for dealing with any act of ragging ,anti-national or unlawful activities being attempted by any student. Students have to fill up the antiragging Affidavit at the time of admission.


COMMITTEE AGAINST SEXUAL HARASSMENT

This committee of six members from the faculty, administration, management and student representative is established, to prevent any gender discrimination and sexual harassment against women and provide gender amity among students and employees.


KHICHADI PROJECT

Nutritious Khichadi will be provided to needy students at subsidized rate (Rs.600/year) on working days only.


COUNSELLING CELL

Any student having any crisis /problem will be availed the counselling services from the experts. The information received about the student regarding the pertaining matter will be kept confidential. The students are free to avail this facility in order to develop their personality, and career development.


CULTURAL ACTIVITIES /SPORTS

Th students will be encouraged to participate in various cultural, sports and National Social Service activities and thus nurture the student’s talent.


S.N.A.

Student Nurses Association is Nursing students’ association is affiliated to the parent professional association Trained Nurses Association (Headquarter at Delhi). S.N.A. Biennial conference is held regularly. Students can present their projects through this unit, participate in various competitions and excel and form a sense of ownership and oneness towards the profession.


LIBRARY

Library is great resource of the development for everyone who utilizes it appropriately to its fullest extent.

Our library is an ocean of literature from which we can enrich our wealth and health as well as give meaning to our lives.

Location : The well-furnished library is located on a peaceful 8th floor of the Smt.Kamlaben Gambhirchand Shah Vidya Bhavan and is a very spacious well ventilated area of 4000sq.ft.

Seating Capacity: The library has a seating capacity of 100 students and 20 staff
